Classic Romance - Fairmont Hot Springs Resort
There is something undeniably magical about a romantic mountain wedding; especially when the weather decides to add a little drama.
The morning began with soft rainfall over Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, creating a cozy anticipation in the air. By ceremony time, the clouds parted, revealing sweeping mountain views, fresh alpine air, and the kind of misty backdrop photographers (and couples!) dream about. It felt cinematic in the very best way.
Classic, heartfelt, and effortlessly joyful, this celebration was a beautiful reminder that sometimes a little rain makes everything even more unforgettable.
A Romantic Mountain Wedding with Timeless Elegance
The day was coordinated by Rosie Leigh Events, ensuring that every transition–from weather adjustments to reception timing–flowed seamlessly.
When you’re hosting a romantic mountain wedding, especially in the Rockies where weather can shift quickly, having a steady, experienced team behind the scenes makes all the difference.
Nestled in the Columbia Valley, the ski resort offers panoramic mountain views that truly set the stage for a romantic mountain wedding. The ceremony deck overlooks rolling peaks and forested valleys, creating a breathtaking natural altar.
Inside, the reception space features soaring wood beams and expansive windows that flood the room with natural light, allowing the mountain setting to remain part of the celebration well into the evening.
A Fresh Take on Classic Florals
The floral design leaned into timeless romance with a vibrant twist. Creamy whites were paired with soft peach and pops of bright orange, creating dimension without overpowering the space.
For the long reception tables, bud vase arrangements were the perfect choice. This is a modern favorite approach for long table layouts. Multiple small arrangements create movement and visual interest, especially when you vary heights and mix complementary tones. Candles, glassware, and simple linens allowed the florals to shine while maintaining that elevated, classic atmosphere.

The Light After Rain
As the sun set behind the peaks, the mountains glowed in amber golden hour light. The couple stepped outside for a quiet moment together, soaking it all in: the view, the fresh air, and that giddy, exciting “We-just-got-married!” feeling.
Reception Energy that Lasted All Night
After dinner, the live band took over and the couple danced the night away while guests soaked up the energy and connection only live music can bring.
