From vision to reality - J&A’s wedding was nothing short of a love note full of handmade details, family involvement, and the relaxed energy of a destination weekend in the mountains.
A private property hosted this garden themed wedding, overlooking the mountains of BC
Golden, BC, is one of those special destinations that feels like a hidden gem, yet in fact it sits conveniently right along Highway 1, making it an ideal spot for couples looking for a stunning yet practical destination. This private property was transformed from the ground up into a complete wedding venue. The tent setup, floorplan layout, and rental design were all built with the intention to create flow and comfort in the venue’s backyard.
This couple opted for a Partial Planning wedding package, where they sourced some of their own vendors, and Rosie Leigh Events sourced some others. This type of package is increasingly popular amongst couples as it offers flexibility in the pricing and planning process.
As a part of the Day-of Coordination, Rosie Leigh Events managed the event setup and coordinated with local vendors, giving the couple space to truly enjoy the day. It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes support that makes a destination wedding feel easy.
Every element of the design reflected the couple’s shared love of books. Pages from well-worn novels were transformed into table runners, bouquets, and paper flowers, each one hand-crafted with care. Tables were set with gold chargers, olive-green napkins, and smoky glass goblets, a palette that felt both natural and refined.
The head table was a true labour of love, layered with greenery, book stacks, and handmade blooms spilling over the edge. A dessert table lined with succulent-inspired cupcakes added a whimsical, garden-to-table charm. Even the stationery carried their story with custom “newspaper” programs, playing cards for guests' wishes and a memorial table made every corner feel intentional and unique.
